Coach Kevin Higgins has been in and around the sport of lacrosse for over thirty years. He founded the the Rancocas Valley Boys Lacrosse Team, taking it from an intramural to a club sport and eventually a competitive Varsity Program. In 2011, Coach Higgins led the Red Devils to its first division title and first-ever trip to the playoffs. He has developed young men into All-Conference and All-Star players and even earned coach of the year in 2011. Throughout his tenure as Rancocas Valley's Head Coach, Kevin has enjoyed seeing ten of his players join the college ranks and play among the very best. He also has coached current D1 players (both lacrosse and football) and expects several prospects in the near future. Coach Higgins also works with teams in the community, coaching the Upper Moreland' Winter 7/8 team, helping to start the Lumberton Youth Lacrosse Club, and providing boys lacrosse camps for the past ten years. Coach Higgins also has seven years experience coaching Football, leading a high school squad to an 8-1 record. After a brief stint as a varsity coach at Notre Dame Prep in Lawrenceville, Coach Higgins returned to coach the Red Devils in 2014 and now coaches Turnpike Elite 2018 as well.
Kevin Higgins holds a Masters in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his undergraduate work in Psychology at Ithaca College. In addition to his work as a Social Worker at RVRHS, Coach Higgins continues to provide clinical serves to adolescents and families in his private practice.
